As they grow best in warmer climates, Red Papaya and Yellow Papaws are predominately grown in Northern Queensland areas including Innisfail, Mareeba, Proserpine, Yarwun, Gympie and the Sunshine Coast districts, as well as in the Northern Territories and Western Australia.
